Every year millions of pounds are spent on training staff. Most companies have a limited budget for staff training but realise that training is an essential investment they must make for their company and their staff development. How does the employer ensure that the training they select is the most effective way to develop staff in management and interpersonal skills and achieves improved performance for the organisation, the individual and the customer or service user?
Forum4Change is the creative arm of Resound Training & Development. Gill Brabner, Managing Director, explains the purpose behind Forum4Change:
“ As Resound has grown, we have increasingly found that some of the problems that our clients bring to us respond significantly better to a creative approach. This is why we have set up Forum4Change – our creative division specifically focused on using creative techniques. Using our proven expertise, Forum4Change works with clients to provide dynamic solutions to training problems. Our team designs interventions that motivate and inspire, which have proved to bring very valuable business improvements.”
Forum Theatre is a safe environment for groups to participate in a workplace scenario being played out in front of them. Practice increases our level of success in dealing with whatever business, or indeed, life, throws at us. Individuals can participate at whichever level they feel most comfortable, so some may prefer to direct the situation to a win-win conclusion whilst others like to roll up their sleeves and get into the action. This form of training, where real actors work alongside the “audience”, is particularly successful when used in training for performance management, negotiation & mediation, diversity and customer service issues.
